PRODUCT RANGE - Customers can choose from a range of fuels:

Homefire, Supertherm, Phurnacite, Taybrite, Anthracite Stove Nuts, Anthracite Beans & Grains, Briteheat, House Coal Trebles (medium lumps), House Coal Doubles (small lumps).


		EXTRAS - We also stock logs, kindling, firelighters, bio fuel, charcoal and various fireside accessories

CASH & CARRY - If you prefer, you can collect your prepacked fuel.

The business was started by J S Scattergood on Acton Road in Arnold over 70 years ago. He sold the business to the Tolley family. They later purchased the Redgate’s Business and yard on Church Street in Arnold. The Redgate’s had been selling local coal from Gedling coal mine since before the Second World War. So the yard as it is today was established.

In 1994 Ray and Sue Hawkins took over the business. In 1998 Ray won the East Midlands Coalman of the Year award after being nominated by his customers. This was the last year the awards were held. Today the family continue to take great pride in the quality of fuels they supply and the prompt and reliable service they offer.

Ray or Sue are always pleased to advice customers about the correct fuel for their appliance or discuss any queries related to the Coal Trade. We accept payment by cash, cheque and most major debit and credit cards.

All the fuels we stock are delivered either in 50kg open sacks for bunkers, coal sheds etc or in 25kg heat sealed pre-packed bags for convenient storage

We deliver top quality fuels promptly and efficiently to a wide area and are expanding all the time so if your village is not on the list please contact us to discuss your requirements.
